Dear brothers and sisters of the immigrant rights movement in Italy,

We communicate to you with much love and solidarity from San Francisco,
California to wish you a powerful International Workers' Day!  In the
United States, immigrant communities continue to struggle against raids
and deportations, worker exploitation, and in favor of legalization and
full rights for our communities.  We understand that the attacks against
migrants are the symptoms of a global economic system that is based on
neo-liberalism, free trade agreements and profits, not one that is based
on human rights.  Millions are forced to uproot themselves from their
loved ones and their homes, to risk their lives, simply because they
can't support their families in the context of economic desparation. We
will continue to expose the imperialism of U.S. companies and the U.S.
government for causing these things.  On May 1, we are also marching and
protesting to end the imoral wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Today, we
march together with you and the rest of humanity who want to see a
different world.
